Art Philosophy and Pemberley Paper Inspired Creations!

Today's cards came from showing how versatile our stamp sets are to a potential customer last week. The first card was my sample of how to use an image as background paper. I love the Pemberley Paper but sometimes you want a very different color scheme. So I picked the colors Lagoon and Olive for my ink and modeled how to position the Card Word Puzzle large flower stamp around the page by turning it and stamping off the sides a bit. Well this small demo of flower-filled paper has been taunting me all week! So last night I grabbed some lagoon card stock, my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and the Card Word Puzzle stamp set and got to work.

Very pretty Friendship Card
Inside sentiment from Beautiful Friendship stamp set.

Here's how that little sample turned into a beautiful friendship card: I stamped 2 more flower images on colonial white card stock while my Cricut was cutting the scallop edged frame and the tag for the sentiment. (I actually filled the page with several different words, shapes, cards some of which I used later for card #2)
I cut one flower out and topped it with just the center of the 2nd image. The center was colored in with a blending pen and creme brûlée ink. Then I added some glitter to the center of the flower where the stamens are. I took the background and glued it to the scallop frame, flied the large flower to the corner and popped up the center of the flower with sponge tape. The sentiment was made from the Word Puzzle stamp set and of course I added a cream brûlée butterfly with Liquid Glass over the top to make it stand out. The sentiment tag has 2 medium sized Sparkles added to each side. Most edges were sponged in Cocoa Ink.

The inside was that same great large flower stamp, glitter and 2 creme brûlée butterflies. The sentiment comes from Close To My Hearts fabulous Beautiful Friendship(B1400) stamp. Love that set and I'm finding lots of uses for it!

Cricut Cut sizes in the Art Philosophy Cart:
Scallop frame cut at 5.25 x 3.75 in Lagoon CS
Word Tag(shape2) cut at 2.181 x 1 in Lagoon CS

A companion card to say Hello!
Here is the second card made from 2 of the extra cuts on my Cricut from card 1. The Hello comes from the Cindy Loo cartridge and the Flourish is from the Art Philosophy Cartridge.

I started with folding and rounding the edges of cocoa card stock and embossing it with a Cuttlebug folder. Then I cut out 3 stamped images of the medium flower from Card Word Puzzle stamped in Lagoon Ink and edged in Cocoa. The leaves were stamped in Olive Ink with no edging. I also stamped 3 of the same flowers in Cocoa ink cutting out and using only the centers which I adhered with a glue dot. It added just the right touch and a bit of dimension. Finally, I glued the Hello and flourish down with Bonding Memories so I had some wiggle time if I needed it as I placed it on the card.
Clean and simple inside for a personal note!
By this time, the night had turned into morning so I kept the inside quick and clean! It was 3:00 AM and I needed to get to bed! So I sponged the edges of the liner ( also cut with the AP cartridge!) and a quick stamp of one of the smaller flowers from Card Word Puzzle. It was a good choice for a simple note card leaving lots of space for a quick note!

I still have several cuts from my 12 x 12 Lagoon cs I cut out on the Cricut so I'm planning to use most of them and make a 4 card set on this theme and place in a handmade folder. I think these will make a great gift!

As soon as the other are done, I'll be posting! Thanks for coming to my paper party! See you again soon.
